Borrowing without interest
0% HEAT Loan Financing in Everett
Pay for your heat pump over time at 0% interest and hold on to more of your savings when the crew shows up.
So How Does a 0% Loan Pay for a Heat Pump?
Through Mass Save's HEAT Loan, an owner can finance up to $25,000 at 0%, with no interest whatsoever, for qualifying energy work such as heat pumps and weatherization. Participating banks and credit unions supply the money, never from us, and each lender makes its own approval decision and sets its own terms. Our role is getting you ready. The program expects several pieces in a particular order: an active Mass Save utility account at the home, a written proposal from the contractor, the signed program authorization, then the bank's own approval, and finally an inspector's visit after the crew packs up. A whole-home heat pump also needs a Home Energy Assessment first, and that visit costs you nothing. The list feels shorter once you can see it in sequence. We write the proposal so your lender gets the scope and price it needs, fill in the authorization form together with you and show how the rebate lines up against the loan. That pairing is what makes plenty of projects pencil out: the rebate trims the total and the loan spreads whatever is left with no interest added. Price, rebate and loan amount all appear together before you sign.
What Financing Help Includes
The loan is between you and your lender. These are the pieces we draft and explain.

How Does Financing Fit the Project?
Check the requirements
We confirm the utility account, see whether an energy assessment is needed and show how loan and rebate work together on your job.
Get the documents ready
With our proposal and the authorization form in hand, you approach the participating lender you prefer, and the lender reviews and decides.
Build it and wrap up
Once the lender approves, installation goes ahead. When the crew finishes, the inspection happens and the remaining program paperwork gets done.
